Merchant Capture, simply put, is a service that allows businesses to scan checks and send those check images to the bank for deposit. Using a desktop scanner, obtained through Robertson Banking Company, you total up your deposit, scan your checks, and you're finished! The scanner reads the front and back of your checks, and an image is created. This image becomes the legal equivalent of the paper check. Once the software confirms the total, your deposit is securely sent to the bank.
