Albert H. Garrett
President and CEO of Robertson Banking Company
In 1977, Al entered banking with Jackson Bank and Trust Company where he worked as a lender for eight years. In 1985, he worked with SouthTrust Bank of Tuscaloosa County as Vice President and served as a loan officer. He joined Robertson Banking Company in 1989, serving as Vice President and lender. He is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer, Bank Director, and shareholder. He is Chairman of the Bank’s Loan Committee, and serves on the Asset Liability Committee, the Personnel Committee, Audit Committee, and the Trust Committee. Al says, “The Bank’s Board and the community of Demopolis have enabled me to enjoy a very rewarding banking career.”
Al graduated from Auburn University in 1972, with a General Business degree and a minor Accounting. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
Al is a Board Member for the Alabama Bankers Association and serves on the Board of Directors of the West Alabama Mental Health Center. He is also a member of the Demopolis Kiwanis Club. His past civic work includes serving as President of the Demopolis Chamber of Commerce and as Officer of the Marengo County Historical Society.Al and his wife Jo Ann have been married for over 30 years. They enjoy traveling and spending time at their country home in Sumter County. The Garrett’s are members of the First Baptist Church. Al’s favorite hobby is fly fishing.
William Gary Holemon
Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer
In 1994, Gary joined Robertson Banking Company as a commercial lender. He is the Bank’s Executive Vice President and responsible for managing the Bank’s loan portfolio. He serves the Asset Liability Committee and is also secretary on the Loan Committee. Gary is a member of the Bank’s Executive Management and is a shareholder. Prior to joining Robertson Banking Company, Gary worked with SouthTrust Bank of Tuscaloosa County in a variety of lending and management positions.
Gary graduated from the University of Alabama with a concentration in Finance and Bank Administration. He completed the Graduate School of Banking at LSU and the Southeastern School of Commercial Lending at Vanderbilt.
His current public service includes his appointment as President of the Alabama Multifamily Loan Consortium, a not-for-profit corporation providing affordable housing financing for low-and moderate- income families, seniors, and the disabled throughout Alabama.
Gary has served with the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Christmas on the River Board, Chamber of Commerce Board, Boy Scouts of America District Chairman, and 10 years on the Demopolis City School Board. He is also a former Rotarian. Gary is a member of the First United Methodist Church and serves on the Church Nominating Committee.
Gary and his wife Janice have two sons; Bill, who attends the University of Alabama, and Wesley, a student at Demopolis High School. Gary’s hobbies include flying his airplane and playing acoustic guitar.
Peter Michael Reynolds
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Pete began working at Robertson Banking Company in 1994, as a management trainee. He gained experience in a variety of banking roles, including agricultural and commercial real estate lending, investments, and operations. Pete is the Bank’s Executive Vice President and is responsible for managing the Bank’s investment portfolio. He serves the Loan Committee and the Asset Liability Committee. He is a member of the Bank’s Executive Management and is a shareholder. Prior to joining Robertson Banking Company, Pete worked in Sioux City, Iowa, with Cargil, the world’s largest private agricultural company, as a commodity manager.
Pete earned a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance from Cornell University in 1992. He completed the Graduate School of Investments and Financial Management at the University of South Carolina in 2000.
Pete is a member of the Demopolis City School Foundation Board of Directors. He has previously served as Chairman of the Alabama Bankers Association Funds Management Committee, member of the Marengo County Historical Society, and member of the American Cancer Society.
Pete and his wife Aimee have three children, Michael, Conner, and Anne. He is a member of St Leo’s Catholic Church and serves as a member of the Church Financial Council. Pete and Aimee own Reynolds Ranch and enjoying travelling and spending time outdoors.
